Commonwealth Center for Behavioral Medicine is not an emergency or crisis service.
The CCBM website, contact form, email, and routine telephone communications are not monitored continuously and should not be used for urgent or emergency clinical concerns.
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, experiencing a medical or psychiatric emergency, or unable to maintain safety:
Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
For immediate emotional or mental health crisis support:
Call or text 988
The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline provides free, confidential crisis support by phone and text, as well as online chat.
If you are concerned about a child or adolescent's immediate safety, do not wait for a response from CCBM. Contact 911, go to the nearest emergency department, or use 988 for immediate crisis support.
Current CCBM Clients
If you are an established CCBM client and have been provided with specific instructions regarding after-hours communication or phone coaching, follow those instructions.
Routine messages sent through email, the website, or other non-emergency communication channels should not be used for urgent safety concerns.
If you are unsure whether a situation constitutes an emergency, it is appropriate to seek immediate emergency assistance.
